West Coast Offense

25 songs about California. A couple of them may be tenuous, but they all work in my mind. The title is a nod to the great San Francisco 49ers teams of the 1980s. My buddy Dave had season tickets and I went along to a shitload of games with him. We even got to go to the Super Bowl against the Miami Dolphins. Pretty cool stuff.

One comment about the Albert Hammond song. I used to love this one as a kid, but back then I always misheard the line, "it pours, man, it pours" as "of course, matador"...which makes no sense at all.

But when you're 10 years old and singing along while listening to a little AM transistor radio, nobody really cares. Lyrics are what they are, but sometimes they're open to interpretation. And the misheard lyrics can be very amusing, as well. All in good fun.
