Happy birthday to My Bloody Valentine's Loveless, one of the greats (4 NOV 1991). I still remember seeing the video for Only Shallow for the first time on 120 Minutes, sitting in my little apartment near CCSF, just off Ocean Ave. That was my first encounter with MBV. Mind-blowing, it was like a trip to another planet. I listened to the album on my way home tonight, it still sounds so fresh, exciting and vital. If you haven't heard it, do yourself a favour and get acquainted.
