I L.U.V. the Smiths. Back ...What a brilliant idea!<br /><br />I L.U.V. the Smiths. Back in the 90s ENO and I were working on a really pared down cover version of "Please, Please, Please Let M Get What I Want" - just me on treated Sax and Eno doing his patented ambient drones - this one, if I remember correctly was conjured up by him recording himself using a cheese-grater on a facsimile of a wooly mammoth, then slowing the tape down considerably and playing the results backwards through an empty smarties tube.
